WHAT IS RESILIENCE?

Resilience is a community’s ability to adapt and thrive in changing conditions instead of collapsing during a shock. Resilience is not about “bouncing back.” Instead, it is about “bouncing forward” to address the root causes of stress, trauma, and violence so that our communities can be better than before.

ReCAST is committed to the national framework of shared responsibility.  We serve as a path to bring individuals/families, community organizations, businesses, faith-based organizations and all levels of government together for an integrated approach to making a difference in our communities.  Our goal is to strengthen healthy, resilient communities.

DID YOU KNOW?

Most people are resilient in spite of trauma. If you feel like giving up or overwhelmed you do not have to go through it alone.
